Weeknotes 10

At work:

  • Evaluation project: finished reviewing all the session recordings, had a check-in meeting with the team to ask some clarification questions, and I will be tackling the report after my leave. I’ve mapped out the structure and content but I was far too distracted by the impending holiday to get properly stuck into writing it!
  • Engagement in social care: ongoing arrangements for sessions with various audiences in the target region.
  • Strategic EDI session: have sent out the agenda to participants – it is in the form of questions we will be addressing on the day, so as to invite people to start thinking about it in advance.

Deliverables this week:

  • Not a client deliverable as such but I’m counting this as a task completed – finished and submitted my proposal for a facilitation session in response to a request for quote. Fingers crossed. Should hear by the time I am back from leave.
  • Tidied up the digital whiteboard screens from an evaluation discussion with a university team, and sent those over for them to use in planning their evaluation strategy.

Development this week:

  • Put the live sessions in my calendar for the U-Lab course on MITx.
  • New Idea – no tangible progress yet but I have been THINKING a lot about it.

At home:

  • In an absolutely catastrophic (!) turn of events I have not managed to collate my Welsh grammar index cards before going on holiday, so I’m taking the lot with me. My friend is bilingual and I will be chatting nonsense to her, and probably severely lacking in mutations. Paraphrasing the kid from last week’s weeknotes, “don’t laugh at my efforts, I’m trying my best!”
  • Our old lady cruise (to the Norwegian fjords) is upon us! We booked it last year and it was so far away, and now it’s ONE SLEEP AWAY. I am so excited.
  • I’m away this week-end, and part of next week-end. The darkroom will wait until I’m back properly but also I will have some fresh B&W film to develop, so that’ll be fun to test out.
