At work:
- Social care engagement project: reaching out to local groups and arranging dates for engagement sessions. We’re aiming to run different kinds of engagement, but at the moment my initial conversations are all looking like dropping in for cups of tea and some nice cake. I shall be baking in provision for the visits. Lemon drizzle, I think!
- Guest lecture at Black Mountains College: it’s next week so we’ve been meeting to finalise our content and plan.
- Interactive EDI workshop: I have been fleshing out my session plan and designing the materials for printing – and also folding 100 cardboard bricks that we will use on the day to capture notes and insights.
Deliverables this week:
- Evaluation project: summary report finally done and gone, managed to find the thread through ALL the data and I’m very pleased with the final result (even if I do say so myself!). Report is currently with the client for comments, when they come back to me I’ll finalise it, and make a child-friendly version of the info that we can share with the pupils who were involved in the project.
- Strategic planning day at Data Orchard – in my role as vice-chair I supported the co-CEOs to review the past few years and think ahead to the next few years, to support their planning and org development.
Development this week:
- The New Idea: has been developing and blossoming, did a coaching session on it (hadn’t planned to but it was in my head so I talked about it) and have got even more clarity. Just got to do some practicalities on this in between the client project commitments!
At home:
- The Cat has been back to the vets, who has been running tests and eliminating possible diagnoses. He’s got an ultrasound scan on Monday for further investigations. It’s taking up quite a lot of thoughts and emotional space, and also practically there is a sick kitty to clean up after and not leave alone for too long. It’s all taken up a lot of my head this week.
