At work:
- Social care engagement project: extension on the report has been agreed to January.
- Co-production resources project: some planning calls and 2 research calls to gather information on excellent co-production practice across Wales (to write up case studies from).
- Project supporting team development: finished meeting the rest of the team in 121s, and started planning a team group meeting for early January.
- Website co-production project: some 121 follow-ups, joining a community event, and also sorting out all the notes so far to disseminate to the relevant teams. Two meetings with the clients, who are finding the insights we’re gathering helpful to support their work.
Deliverables this week:
- Mainly on the website co-production project, as above.
- Tying up and sending off things before most people have two weeks off for the winter break.
Development this week:
- Not business development but personal development: had a coaching session and looked at the tension between my preferred operating mode, which is focusing on mainly one big thing per day, and building in regular (daily ideally!) Welsh study and practice, which is a second thing per day. Going to be testing some new systems and habits – which I should blog about, really, because getting back to blogging (beyond just the weeknotes) is something I want to do also.
- Did some planning for the break – after a few days off to rest and recover from the last few weeks (months?!), I’m going to be in review / planning mode, and also doing a bit of catching up, clearing the decks, and getting ahead.
At home:
- The flurry of prep before the winter break is not just in work but also with whizzing round seeing people before the holidays! This was a very full week both work-wise and socially.
- This morning 21st December – winter solstice, and Sunday, I went to meet my little swim group at 8 for high tide and also just before sunrise which we watched from the sea. It wasn’t raining which was awesome after the few days we’ve had weather-wise, and there was wood-fired sauna on the beach which is free on Sundays until 9am. I’m having a few days off now and it was a lovely way to start that, I felt very blessed and lucky today.
