At work:
- Social care engagement project: nearly finished the events (1 more to go), in the process of writing up my notes and planning the report structure and content.
- New resource development project: handover meeting and making a start.
- New co-production project: kick off meetings and making a start (I’m part of a team of 3 for this one, working with lovely work-friends I’ve worked with before, so it’s a joy to be back together on a project!)
- Evaluation project: essentially done, arranging the very last edits on the reports (the full one and the child-friendly one).
- Done lots of project admin: setting up trackers for the new projects, and closing down completed ones.
Deliverables this week:
- No delivery as such this week, starting lots of things, and other stuff is currently under way!
Development this week:
- Wrestled with the Sell2Wales website repeatedly to sort out some alert emails, it’s glitchy and not updating properly – have spoken to the support team and will revisit next week when hopefully it will be ironed out.
- Had a heads-up chat about a potential new invitation to tender for some partnership building work – which sounds interesting and I’ll keep my eye out for it.
At home:
- Somehow I had a perfect day on Monday: I worked through a ton of actions and completed my to-do list for the day (which never, ever happens 😀 ), went to pilates in the evening, and retired to bed early with a book.
- The week was all downhill from there haha, nothing could rise to that perfection! Actually I was ill-ish Tuesday and Wednesday, really under the weather and foggy brained. I even missed Welsh class on Wednesday evening because I had less than half a brain left… It took the rest of the week to get back to full function.
- The cat is getting worse again 🙁 he’s still losing weight and this week he’s had frequent bouts of vomiting and pooping (out of his litter tray because he’s feeling so ill), so it’s gross and stressful and also I feel bad that we’re doing everything we can and he’s still feeling crappy. I’m procrastinating updating the vet, in case he says it’s a very bad sign, though I should because maybe there’s something else we can do (yet more medication?!). Catto isn’t in sharp pain although he’s uncomfortable generally, and although he’s not playing he’s still chatty and cuddly, so in terms of quality of life he seems to be managing ok still – but obvs I’m monitoring him closely as that’s what’s going to trigger the next decision point with the vets. Until then, like the vet said, we keep fighting.
