Weeknotes 50 (June 2026)

For Monday 8th June – Sunday 14th June 2026.

At work:

  • Catchment project – Spending way too long compiling the comms, engagement and collaboration plans – so much info! Got lost in the volume of it, had to split it into 3 documents and then bring them back all together; they’re basically all our plans for the rest of the year including delivery, measuring impact and reporting for all the different workstreams and audiences. So much planning to put in one orderly place. Also attended a workshop about natural capital run by another consultant on the project, which was interesting.
  • Supporting an engagement team – did one of the final check-in meetings, we’re nearing the end of the project.

Deliverables this week:

  • Co-design of a strategic plan – designed 3 strategic sessions I will be running with the board and leadership teams, that build on each other over 3 weeks.
  • Local democracy project (voluntary) – did a little drop-in event online, I think I’ll aim to do 1 per month. They’re easy to organise and a welcome space to think and figure things out together.

Development this week:

  • Submitted a proposal for some events, fingers very crossed – it would be a big job over a few condensed weeks for a quick turnaround, but I like the client and I love this kind of strategic facilitation work.

At home:

  • Oh, after a super long hiatus I read another folder from my reading pile!
  • Last Welsh lesson of the year! No more classes till September omg.
  • Reluctantly (for the first time ever) went down for a swim but my heart wasn’t in it, or my head as I was still thinking about the report I was working on, I should have listened and stayed home.
  • 2 pilates this week (my teacher was away on Monday), 2 HIIT.
  • Been on antibiotics all week for the tonsillitis – feeling a bit odd overall, but my tonsils don’t hurt any more so I’ll give them that.
  • Booked a holiday in early September, the last week before Welsh classes start again. Last year I went to Norway with my bestie, this year Marseille. Is this the start of a new tradition?

Why this image? I don’t know, I put in “reading” and this came up. It’s not been the most interesting week.
