At work:
- Catchment partnership – following up the second workshop and setting up the draft Terms of Reference, as well as wider partnership and engagement planning. Happy with the progress we’re making after a slightly slow start (due to not being able to put out communications and do engagement in the pre-election period).
- Local democracy event – did some prep for a follow-up reflection workshop.
Deliverables this week:
- Co-production case studies – finally found the headspace to finish writing up the 3 remaining case studies and send them off for review and translation into Welsh and Easy Read. Writing and editing narrative requires a very different brain setting (and uninterrupted time availability) from my usual meetings and session design. Very glad this is completed now.
- Co-design of a strategic plan – interim deliverable, provided the engagement outine in advance of a Board meeting next week.
Development this week:
- Spotted an invitation to tender for some compassionate leadership support which I will write something up for over the coming weeks.
At home:
- Only 1 pilates this week because the teacher was ill on Monday, and I didn’t have the car on Wednesday. Caught up at Friday’s class 🙂 No swim this week even thought the tide times were good, as everyone was tired and otherwise engaged. I spent the weekend having a big sort out and declutter of everything, spring cleaning style. ✨
- Been researching options for more cardio activities and have booked in for a HIIT (high intensity interval training) session at 6.45am on Thursday coming. First time. Eep! (It’s only 30 mins rather than 1 hour so it feels… possible?!) 🏃➡️
- Welsh class this week – we’re doing lots of exam revision. I’m not taking the exam as it’s optional, but it’s good practice. Not many weeks left this term! 🏴
- Tonsillitis from 2 weeks ago came back this week, and didn’t shift. Became a chesty cold and cough for a few days. Finally turns out it’s bacterial not viral and I now have antibiotics to take. 🤒
- The car’s bumper has been repaired after being rear ended a couple months ago. She looks beautiful! Like nothing ever happened! Very pleased. HOWEVER. The rear indicator light has popped, also the brakes / suspension warning light has come on on the dashboard and… it always come in threes right? I got a flat tyre on the way home. I think this is a meta-three as well because originally:
1) I lightly dinged my front bumper parking at home (embarrassing but barely noticeable, I popped it back)
2) that same week I got rear ended
3) I was waiting for the third thing to happen… and now the third thing is a cluster of three things.
I think we’re done now, yes, ok? Fractals are nice and all, but. Thankyouplease. 🚗

Car looks all neat with the newly repaired bumper,
but with the weirdly thin spare tyre where I changed the wheel after a flat.
