Tl;dr: I got the flu and felt very sorry for myself most of this week.
For Monday 12th October – Sunday 18th October 2026.
At work:
- Catchment project: on tickover, I am overdue writing up some meeting notes though.
- Engagement coordination project: a big meeting with key actors in the region.
- Strategy co-design project: comms materials distributed via the client team to various staff and stakeholder groups.
- Deep listening project: planning and making policy and comms stuff to support the two workstream leads, connecting dots, lots and lots of background stuff!
- Board away day: been designing the session plan for the day, and having some design meetings with people, about ensuring the representation of service user voice in the room.
The last 3 projects on this list are still bulging at the same time, and I went under with the flu, so eeeep.
Deliverables this week:
- Cultural competence training: delivered the second session to a local authority team, online.
Development this week:
- Supporting a team to develop their facilitation skills: proposal sent and accepted, figuring out dates.
- Supporting a public board: still doing development meetings and figuring out how best to support.
At home:
- Half a HIIT (my head was already in work mode, that was a mistake), no pilates or anything else (like more HIIT) because I have been so full of cold (flu probably) and feeling awful as well as being probably highly infectious.
- I missed Welsh class because I was foggy and exhausted and dysfunctional. We started the conditional tense as well, which is a bummer!
- LOTS OF NAPPING. And complaining. (I hate being sick and everybody needs to know this.)
Hwb – defnyddio fy Nghymraeg (hub – using my Welsh):
Weekly Welsh homework to find something to talk about in class (in Welsh ofc).
- I have made a padlet to keep these Welsh topics, but it’s still useful to have the weekly reminder here in these notes. I do not know what I’ll talk about this week, I also need to catch up on the grammar I missed, it’s all a bit much right now.
