Weeknotes 22 (November 2025)

At work:

  • Social care engagement project: did the very last event and collected more useful narratives and data. Report mode next week!
  • Main focus this week has been a new website co-production / co-design project, which needs to progress at pace due to the tight timelines, and which needs to be frontloaded to get a bunch of engagement conversations secured and scheduled.

Deliverables this week:

  • I guested on a Llais podcast episode, talking about engagement and co-production in health and social care. It will be out in February 2026 so I haven’t gone viral yet but watch this space! 😀

Development this week:

  • Had a scoping chat about designing and facilitating 2 days of team development meetings in a few weeks’ time.
  • Had a scoping chat about some co-production training, but that’s scheduled for March 2026 so apart from sorting out the event descriptions I don’t need to do anything on this quite yet.

At home:

  • On Saturday I attended a Learning to Reconnect workshop with Sam and Scott (based on Joanna Macy’s The Work That Reconnects), and it was such a grounded and helpful space to reflect and set intention for meaningful work and creating more hopeful futures.
  • The vet’s been in touch with some more possible avenues of exploration and the cat’s got another blood test next week. He’s losing weight still and he’s so skinny under all his floof. 🙁

The Work That Reconnects model, represented as a dandelion curving in on itself like the start of a spiral. The root is "gratitude", the stem is "knowing our pain", the flowers and clocks are "seeing with new eyes", and the seeds blowing away are "going forth".
