Tl;dr: My uncles have been visiting!
For Monday 10th August – Sunday 16th August 2026.
A mini weeknotes because I was on leave this week, due to family visiting.
- No work really, just a couple of small meetings that I wanted to not miss.
- I even went to HIIT once.
- All the visits continued (St Fagans, Castell Coch and Caerphilly Castle, more around Cardiff, on top of Cardiff, Cardiff Bay and the Gower last week). Twas lush!
- We saw the eclipse, sort of, as we were out and about. Then I went to watch the Perseid meteor showers and it was magical, can you believe I’d never seen a shooting star in all my 47 years? Now I have. Loads!!
- I dropped my fam off at the airport on Thursday, then went for a swim in Clevedon Marine Lake (for a little change).
- Did a return trip to London on Friday to file my ID Card renewal at the French Consulate. Then had to have a little nap, London in the summer is A Lot.
- After that I reset the flat and did lots of laundry and tidied up a little. I have taken delivery of an elaborate cat tree that has arrived in many many parts and that I now have to build.
