For Monday 29th June – Sunday 5th July 2026.
Starting my second year of weeknoting. Who’d have thunk! 😀
At work:
- Catchment project: Lots of planning and connecting with a range of people to bring the catchment relationships together; also prepping for a beach engagement event next week; and facilitating a collaborative meeting.
- Strategy co-design project: Mainly focused on the board workshop this week, writing up the outputs, and building on those to prep the executive team workshop for next week.
Deliverables this week:
- Catchment project: Ran a collaborative meeting (the 3rd so far, the group is starting to gel well), and wrote up the notes for circulation.
- Strategy co-design: Ran the first workshop with the board and their executive team, wrote up and circulated the notes. Got follow-up sessions over the coming weeks.
Development this week:
- Catchment project: I prepared blackboards for a beach engagement event next week! I love when projects have a built-in opportunity for some crafting time. 🙂
- Dementia conference: Scoping meeting with the client. I have been invited to run a session at their regional dementia conference, off the back of them hearing me talking about co-production on the Llais podcast. They approached me directly but I’ve brought this into Co-production Lab work because it ties in with other co-production projects we are doing in the region.
At home:
- Got back onto my Welsh homework and revision plan for the summer! It’s not much but it’s regular. (Um, ish.)
- I went to see Effi o Blaenau at Chapter Arts Centre, it’s the film based on Gary Owen’s play Iphigenia in Splott which I have seen at the Sherman Theatre twice, once in English when it first came out, and then once in Welsh when it came back to the Sherman after touring all over the place and winning lots of awards. It was weirdly less hard to watch as a film than as a one-woman play, which is powerful and moving but very, very hard to take in. The movie was good though.
- 2 pilates this week, I couldn’t do the third because of a plumber visit. No HIIT, I had an early meeting on Tuesday which I wouldn’t have been ready in time for, and on Thursday my PMT was so bad that I cancelled. No swim, other life stuff was going on.
- My PMT has been off the charts this month, urgh. I attended one pilates session very angry and also wanting to cry. I nearly went home halfway through. (I didn’t, but also I didn’t feel better for it. PMT is such a headfuck.)
- Two visits from the plumber this week, due to the bathtub springing a leak which seeped through the kitchen wall. One visit to diagnose, one to fix. Ugh, stress! The kitchen wall looks horrible. Luckily it’s the heigh of summer so that will help with the drying out.
- Less exciting news: I started planning an epic adventure to go fetch the lovely kitten from Lyon in France, but comms with the lady who rescued her seem to be pointing towards this not happening after all. She’s still advertising her for re-homing and hasn’t come back to me after we discussed the logistics and timings. If I haven’t heard back for another day I think I can assume it’s a no.
